About Us

Welcome to Fairview Elementary School!
Fairview Elementary is located in northwest Newton County. The original Fairview School was located across the street over 100 years ago but closed its doors in 1929 because there simply were not enough students to fill the two-room school house. The current building was built in 1988, and additions were made in 1993 & 1997. For a few years, the campus was home to the Fairview Theme School. In Fall 2011, Fairview was reestablished as a PreK-5th grade school.

Fairview students live in sections of the city of Covington, the town of Oxford, and a large area bordering neighboring Rockdale County. We serve a large population of Spanish-speaking families. We are growing! We have already started enrolling students from two new neighborhoods being built nearby.
